Research Opportunities

Computer Engineering faculty are conducting active research in a number of exciting fields, including embedded system design, image processing, mobile computing, sensor/ad hoc network design, internet security, middleware, pattern recognition, robotics. Their research is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Technology Alliance, and others.

Lehigh research labs that are actively involved in the Computer Engineering program are:

Computer Architecture Lab

LONGLAB (Laboratory of Networking Group)

PACLab (Parallelism and Concurrency Lab)

SPCRL (Signal Process and Communnications Research Lab)

VADER Lab (Vision, Assistive Devices and Experimental Robotics)

WiNS Lab (Wireless Infrastructure and Network Security)

WUME Lab (Web Understanding, Modeling, and Evaluation)
